Required for a group with entities in the UAE, Europe and North America, candidates with experience in the field of international taxation and indirect tax compliance for a role to manage and provide assurance on group tax compliance, manage all aspects of tax compliance in UAE and other jurisdictions, transfer pricing, finalization of accounting under IFRS etc.
Candidate should be professionally qualified, preferably a chartered accountant and have at least 5 years’ experience in managing direct and indirect taxation in top consulting firms or industry. They should have a passion to read and study tax legislation, treaties etc. and work to ensure optimum compliance. The role is not limited to tax and compliance, it would encompass other areas in finance and accounting and also provide a rich learning experience.
Key accountabilities:
• Ensure Group tax compliance by setting up efficient processes and systems covering all aspects of tax cycle (planning, implementing, record-keeping, filing, assessment, audit and closure)
• Fulfill direct tax and indirect tax compliance obligations in UAE and overseas tax jurisdictions in an accurate and timely manner
• Continuously assess tax structures and arrangements (including transfer pricing, thin capitalization etc), formulate tax strategy and implement efficient solutions allowing minimum leakage and full compliance
• Fulfill other statutory filing and reporting obligations including OECD, ESR regulations, AML regulations
• Evaluate contracts, transactions, projects, secondment arrangements for tax implications and provide tax solutions
• Evaluate proactively, new legislations and changes for tax implications and provide appropriate tax solutions
• Maintain tax books for Company’s entities and accurate record keeping for tax audits
• Documenting the process, policies and procedures concerning taxation and othe related areas in financial operations
• Work on finalization of accounting in compliance with IFRS
• Support senior finance management on governance matters, assigned projects, tasks, transactions.
