Hong Kong Trade Development Council
The incumbent will be based in our Dubai office and will report to Regional Director, Middle East & Africa. He/she will assist in handling trade and service promotions, project assignments and related marketing activities as well as gathering market intelligence in the Middle East and African countries.
Major Responsibilities
Provide market intelligence in the Middle East and African Countries relating to Hong Kong trade and business
Organise promotion projects in the Middle East and African region.
Promote HKTDC’s services and major events in new and emerging markets in the region
Assist in expanding and updating HKTDC databank particularly senior business and major buyers contacts in the region
Identify and recruit business agents for recruiting visitors & exhibitor for HKTDC fairs
Build a strong networking relation between HKTDC Dubai office & other Middle East and African business entities in UAE
Organise and launch digital marketing campaigns to promote Hong Kong and HKTDC events.
Provide analytical reporting for promotional campaigns.
Manage social media accounts to increase traffic to HKTDC online platforms, generate sales leads, enhance brand awareness, increase organic reach, and widen business network.
Job Requirements
A recognised university degree with at least 8 years solid working experience, preferably with sizable organizations, in any of the following areas: trading; exhibition/event organisation; project management; digital marketing; public/corporate relations; or network/relationship building etc.
Strong interests and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various Hong Kong industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Proficiency in Arabic, French, Cantonese and Mandarin will be a plus
Willing to travel to new and emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa
Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability
Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure
A strong team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Mature with superior skills in marketing and communication
Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
Knowledge in Email Marketing, Content Writing, Lead Generation, & Website Analytics
Good command over Google Ads, Analytics, Market Research
