Our client is a Dubai based Group, with arms in e-commerce, insurance and Fintech, and they are looking for Head of Compliance to oversee the Group and level up the function.
This role will excite those who wish to take a senior position and grow their career within a fast-growing business, where they will be required to get involved in all areas of risk and compliance, helping a conglomerate build the vital structures to grow and scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Keeping up to date with changes in regulation from DIFC/ADGM etc. and take a lead on relationship building, business development and client management.
Managing advisory projects on strategic matters linked to regulation with particular regard to DIFC/DFSA, ADGM/FSRA and Central Bank of the UAE and SCA to include regulatory liaison.
Assist other Regional Directors, Partner and Head of Regulatory and Compliance Services on reviewing regulations and determining best practices as directed
Produce and maintain appropriate AML/CFT, Compliance and Risk policies and procedures for the business and ensure that they are maintained in line with local regulatory requirements, as well as Group requirements and framework
Support the delivery of AML/CFT, Compliance and Risk training to all staff (induction training and ongoing training) working with HR to ensure appropriate training records are maintained.
Required:

· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Arabic language (Arabic is a must)
· Highly organized, with the ability to handle different tasks and a strong attention to detail

· Very strong knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulations that apply to financial firms in the Dubai, our regulated activities, along with other more general legal and risk considerations for growing tech firms
· Demonstrable practical experience of dealing with regulatory compliance and the application of company’s law in the UAE, Qatar, DIFC and ADGM.
· Prior experience working in a compliance role for Dubai’s regulated financial firms (5+ years) – experience at a Payment platform is preferred.
· Ability to think outside the box and provide creative solutions
· Technology, Ecommerce, and insurance related knowledge is required
