We are an international provider of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework, with a team of passionate and qualified teachers and coaches and we aim to make swimming an enjoyable and life-saving skill for people of all ages. We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic full-time swimming teachers to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Job Description: As a Full-Time School Swim Lead at Absolute Swimming UAE, you will play a vital role in teaching individuals of all ages and skill levels to become confident and competent swimmers. You will provide curriculum support to our partner schools by leading the swimming department, teaching curriculum lessons from FS1 to Y11, and managing and coaching the school swim squads. Â This will include managing any necessary admin tasks and supporting teachers within the swimming department. Ideally you will also be able to organise and host school swimming competitions.
On top of this, there is the opportunity to develop and grow our external squads and coach within our academy, with responsibility for planning and delivering engaging training sessions, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver effective and engaging curriculum swimming lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of each student from FS1 to Year 11.
Manage both primary and secondary school squads; provide appropriate swim training, select teams, attend school swimming competitions.
Provide support and organisation to a small team of swimming teachers.
Evaluate and track the progress of students and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, schools, and colleagues.
Help to grow the business by maintaining and fostering positive relationships with our customers and clients.
Stay up to date with current swimming teaching techniques and certifications.
Must Have Qualifications & Experience:
·      Hold minimum of Swim England Level 2 Swim Teaching/Coaching or equivalent.
·      Lifeguard/Water Rescue Certificate preferred.
·      First Aid Certificate.
·      In date police clearance check/DBS
·      Previous experience of teaching/coaching swimming within a school setting. – preferably with middle east experience.
·      Previous experience of leading competitive swimming squads, either within a school setting or in an external programme.
·      Previous experience of teaching children from 3 years old through to 16 years.
·      The ability to lead a small team of swim teachers to provide a well-rounded swim curriculum to all year groups based upon the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework.
·      Previous experience of organising and running school swimming competitions.
·      Well organised and proactive.
·      Must be an effective communicator to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
