Cashier for Restaurant

Ensure control and secure handling of cash and daily banking and assist with refunds/exchanges. Undertake administrative

responsibilities for kitchen/restaurant records / documentation all in line with company policies and procedures.

The below Key Performance Areas 

1. Maintain security of cash.

• Ensure that cash tallies with daily sales reports.

• Liaise with other Cashiers/Waiters, and with cash delivery / pick-up contractors, to ensure transfers/collections

of cash are promptly, correctly and securely handled

2. Ensure daily banking is reconciled with no discrepancies, completing all necessary documentation/updating all records.

3. Monitor cashier performance, and report back to Restaurant/Kitchent Managers.

• Improve cash procedures through training and coaching in cashier’s / sales point duties.

• Brief all concerned on policy/changes for cash handling, banking and refunds/exchanges.

4. Assist customers and/or Management with refunds and exchanges.

• Resolve credit refund problems.

• Carry out general administrative support, answering telephone, preparing correspondence, etc.

• Assist on sales floor as Waiter when not engaged in other cashier/administrative activities.

5. Reconcile Kitchen/Restaurant transfer documentation. Maintain store administration records.

• Prepare memos/reports as required.

• Order and control store stationery etc

Education

• Secondary – literate &

numerate.

• Microsoft Office

Experience
