Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting for one of their MNC clients, a global provider of business information and insights.
Job Location: Dubai
This position will report to Manager – Finance and may involve travel across geographies.
Desired knowledge & experience:
â–ª Chartered Accountant / ACCA
â–ª 4-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Reporting of which minimum 2 years of UAE experience is mandatory.
â–ª Should possess working knowledge of tax laws such as Corporate tax, VAT, WHT etc.
▪ Working knowledge in multi-currency reporting’s is mandatory
â–ª Should have strong experience of working on IFRS
â–ª Experience of handling the team of 2-3 members will be preferred.
Key responsibilities:
Overall accounting, reporting and compliance for the assigned entities like:
â–ª Book-keeping and closing of accounting books on a monthly and annual basis with accuracy and adherence to IFRS.
â–ª Ensuring timely vouching, verification and posting into the accounting package of the company.
â–ª Preparing monthly financial statements in local currency and reporting currency.
â–ª Preparing monthly MIS & interim reports with detailed variance analysis of the performance.
â–ª Ensuring timely statutory compliances (Vat etc.) for all the assigned entities.
â–ª Ensuring timely posting of Salary transactions including required statutory provisions.
â–ª Ensuring timely & correct revenue recognition, reconciliations of accounts receivable.
â–ª Payment proposals scrutiny/verification and recommendations to pay.
â–ª Managing relationship with vendors and suppliers to ensure maximum utilization of credit periods and effective management of working capital.
â–ª Annual audit review and support for assigned entities.
â–ª Assisting the team in preparation of various reports for the Management.
â–ª Dealing with banks for corporate and retail banking requirements
â–ª Maintaining Fixed Asset Register, Depreciation, disposal proposals etc.
â–ª Dealing with outsourced accountants in remote locations
â–ª Documentation and record-keeping; maintaining legal agreements, regulatory documents etc.
