Responsibilities:
Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
Grants reporting as per 2CFR200, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and related regulations
Documentation preparation and recording as per the donor requirements
To remain updated with Uniform Guidance and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Prepares state quarterly and annual statements by assembling data.
Complies with tax filing requirements by studying regulations; adhering to requirements; advising management on required actions; calculating quarterly estimated tax payments; assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings.
Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations.
Advises Program team on grants and contracts compliance
Setting up a financial system which is fully compliant with the donors’ requirements
Reviewing the financial inputs submitted by the Program Team during the business development stage
Complete compliance of payables of Lapis (Agreements, Licenses, Invoices, withholding taxes)
Reviewing project budgets and grant/contract implementation, with respect to:
Budget controls
Preparing corporate budget forecasts and re-forecasts
Preparing financial reports and invoices
Responsible for the complete P&L for Lapis in general and for the individual projects in particular
Preparation of forecasted and interim P&L accounts for on-going projects on need basis for management’s decision making
Assist the head of finance in supervising Lapis’ financial records in AX
Collecting, consolidating, and systematically documenting all necessary information to the required level of detail for the interim and final reports to the Contracting Authority, including but not limited to
Financial client reporting
Audits, checks, monitoring and evaluations of the contract/grant
Acting as a liaison between the Lapis and the Finance teams for invoicing to and collections from clients
Reporting of monthly Lapis revenue and costs numbers to Dubai Office.
Other tasks as delegated by the reporting supervisor
Experience and Qualifications
C.A/ACCA – Qualified/Finalist. Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
Previous experience with USAID or donor funded agreements/Cooperative agreements is a must
Proven work experience and knowledge of working on Grants and adherence of 2CFR200, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and related laws is mandatory
Strong hold on 2CFR 100, FAR & Uniform Guidance
