My client is a leading WealthTech company based in Singapore with global offices across Dubai and more. They are backed by global strategic investment firms and well-established VCs.

Their ambition is to become the leading trading network platform globally and they are now looking for a Head of Operations to join the team and lead all aspects of business operations. ✅ Responsibilities

Ensuring the client money and fund accounts and transactions always reconcile
Developing and monitoring OKRs to track and improve the financial health of the funds and the company as a whole
Developing and producing periodic financial statements for each entity including holding companies, property SPVs (funds) and other as required by the business
Setting up payment templates in our online banking apps, arranging for any necessary cheques, and all bank account management related logistics
Working with the executive team on financial reporting at the company level that includes operational financing in addition to the above-mentioned fund financing. And constantly uncovering ways to optimize the financial health of the company
Meeting all regulatory requirements including maintenance of the accounting policy and procedure manual
Monthly review and evaluation of entire bookkeeping schedules ensuring they comply with professional standards, IFRS and the firm policies
Ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures by examining all financial records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
Verifying assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation
Preparing the balance sheet substantiations for all accounts
Critical review of findings or significant areas in the financial reports
Be responsible for all accounting principles, auditing standards, accounting standards, tax regulations and firm’s policies
Regulatory return review (Prudential PIB returns) and submission on EPRS (DFSA)
Managing Client Money Accounts according to the Client Money rules
Assisting and supporting internal and external auditors with all reports and info requirements
Going beyond execution of the finance operations into building and documenting processes that ensure the build up of internal intellectual capital and the dissipation of knowledge across the organization
Ideating methods and frameworks in which the finance function can scale beyond the current product offering (single property funds) and into more complex product offerings, like portfolio funds, debt funds, etc

 

✅ Requirements:

Experience in a finance role, such as an investment bank, asset management firm or other regulated financial institution, or in audit at a Big 4.
CA, CPA and/or CFA qualification is required
Expert knowledge of accounting process, policies and applicable IFRS and IAS rules
Familiarity with DFSA regulatory laws and framework relating to CAT 3A, 3C and 4 entities
Familiarity with corporate laws in the DIFC is a must
Experience in overhead control management, preparation, and implementation of Internal Control framework a must
Experience in financial budgeting, control, and management
Ability to liaise with regulators, auditors and legal experts on matters relating to finance, accounts, compliance, and audit
Experience as a DFSA-authorized Finance Officer or in a real estate specific function is a plus
Familiarity with Cayman Islands and other jurisdictions is a plus
Experience in fund accounting and determination of NAVs is a plus
Experience with VAT registration and submissions is a plus
Excellent command of Office and/or GSuite tools
Fluency in English, additional languages are welcomed
