The Head of Digital Marketing will be responsible for managing our web properties, blogs, social media, and email marketing initiatives. He or she will also oversee our paid advertising campaigns and work with our partners to ensure that our brand is represented consistently and effectively across all digital channels.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing, as well as a proven track record of successful campaigns. He or she will be a strategic thinker with excellent project management and communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the digital marketing strategy for the company, across all channels including website, social media, email, paid advertising, and SEO
• Plan and manage budgets for all digital marketing activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and ROI
• Oversee the creation and curation of engaging content for our digital channels, working with internal teams and external agencies
• Analyze data and insights to inform decision making and optimize campaigns in real-time
• Stay up-to-date on latest digital marketing trends and technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation within the team
• Manage and develop a team of digital marketing specialists, setting objectives and providing feedback/direction
• Liaise with other departments within the company (e.g. sales, product, customer success) to ensure alignment of digital marketing activities
• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry partners and influencers
• Represent the company at relevant conferences and events
• Monitor competitor activity and benchmark against them
• Achieve agreed upon KPIs and targets set by upper management
• Prepare regular reports for upper management on performance and progress against objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years in a leadership role in marketing, with at least 3 years in digital marketing
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns
• Experience managing a team of marketing professionals
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of digital marketing, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and lead generation
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive marketing decisions
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
• Experience in a B2B environment
• Experience in the software or technology industry
• Working knowledge of Salesforce and other CRM platforms

• More Focus on User Experience (UX). Head of digital marketing will need to be familiar with user-centered design principles in order to create products that meet the needs of today’s users. They will also need to be able to measure the success of their products by tracking user behavior and satisfaction
• A Greater Emphasis on Personalization. As technology advances, businesses are increasingly turning to personalization as a way to improve the customer experience. This trend is being seen across industries, from retail to hospitality to healthcare. Heads of digital marketing need to be aware of this trend and understand how to utilize personalization techniques in their campaigns. This includes everything from designing websites that are easy to navigate to using data to target specific customers with ads and offers.
