Reporting to the AVP of Networks & Systems, the post-holder shall work closely with different teams across the IT to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will be part of a team of engineers to manage, troubleshoot and optimize the network infrastructure so that it is highly available, secure and fit-for-purpose for the organization’s requirements.
Support Network administration:
• To implement LAN / WAN infrastructure and interconnect systems from multiple vendors to ensure optimal performance.
• To configure networking devices, as required by the Network Architect.
• To assign and set up telephones for end-users.
• To support AVP-Network & Systems on managing IT Networking projects from inception to until completion of projects.
Provide Network maintenance:
• To track and monitor the system to ensure minimal service interruptions and high performance.
• To proactively identify and troubleshoot problems pertaining to the Network Infrastructure.
• To install and patch devices with recommended vendor or security updates/patches.
• To support in the documentation of all relevant practices and procedures as recommended by the management.
To support in collating information and metrics of all network related metrics.
Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
Experience working in a large & complex enterprise organization and dynamic environment.
Professional certification from Cisco / Dell / Fortinet or Aruba or other relevant certifications.
Hands on experience in standard Enterprise Network Firewalls & Intrusion Prevention Systems from multi vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto & SonicWALL Firewalls.
Hands on experience on Core, Distribution and Access Switching & Routing such as Cisco, Dell, Huawei, HPE & Aruba.
Hands on experience on Aruba & Cisco – Wireless Controllers / Clear Pass Policy Manager / WiFi Access Points.
Experience administering enterprise IP networks in mission-critical, 24×7 production environments.
Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments.
Knowledge on Cisco Call Manager is an added advantage.
