The role will contribute to establishing common processes and procedures critical to performance management and data governance including organization balanced scorecard, data management, curating and extending data taxonomy catalogue, data lineage and enabling corporate scorecard. This role will also be in charge communicating the strategic and operational process of data management to data owners and the stewards. This people-oriented role will have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all stakeholders
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and lead Data Governance Council and Performance management activities
Collaborate across departments to ensure governance, data life cycle management, and protection issues while improving the quality of core data assets, addressing regulatory requirements as well as supporting the strategic requirements of the department.
Collaborate across departments to ensure gathering of performance management metrics, suggest insights, conduct, and facilitate stakeholder alignments, and recommend improvements in already constructed metrics across the organization
Lead and manage all organization wide governance activities and support the in improving data literacy, quality and governance of enterprise data and information through the data life cycle
Responsible for all aspects related to tooling and automation related to Data Governance and Performance management
Respond to customers and auditor’s inquiries related to data governance, and performance management processes
Evaluate data governance program and determine if the program meets regulatory requirements, best practices, laws, rules, compliance with industry standards, customer expectations and employee safety
Monitor for industry best practices and trends in Performance Management and Data Governance and recommended new systems and technology.
Work in collaboration with cross-functional team and wider stakeholders to design, evolve and communicate data architecture for new and changing requirements.
Establish and govern an enterprise data and analytics governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information based capabilities
Institute Data Ownership structure and work with Business Leaders to understand organizational objectives and anticipate analytical needs of internal stakeholders, in collaboration with Analytics Manager
Drive accountability by establishing a robust data and analytics governance and measurement framework across each project
Implement methodology / tool for standardizing data definitions and establishing data lineage
Work with business owners to mitigate data governance gap and other identified risks
Establish data classification and handling requirements to protect sensitive data
Develop and implement a hospital wide data governance and data lifecycle management program
Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure adoption by data owners
Education:
Required
Business Background related to healthcare and healthcare management
Technical Background: Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar quantitative field
Desired
Experience in data management areas (data architecture, master data)
Knowledge in setting end-to-end data management and improvement strategy

Experienced in engaging senior leadership towards understanding and utilizing data driven decision-making
Managing performance management, scorecard build, data governance and life cycle process in a large organization. Experience in enhancing data literacy in an organizational setting. Experience in engaging data analyst teams across the organization to adopt common standards
